Qualifications


My years of experience in this field have provided me with the ability to refine and acquire many skills relating to marketing, design, brand development, and project management. It has enhanced my proficiency in various responsibilities such as how to prioritize and shift between multiple ongoing projects, work both independently or within a team, the importance of being a self-starter and problem solver, how to be a leader, not just a boss and the relevance of functional design.

I have learned how to take both data and information, and transform them into creative, visually attractive, clear pieces of work. The main goal and purpose in any project I take on are to create things the audience will clearly understand. I have a solid understanding of the design, print and marketing industry from a creative, production, and administration standpoint through my growth and advancements over the years. I believe that these skills, along with my knowledge that I acquired through my degree at Mount Royal University have thoroughly prepared me for any opportunity that comes my way.

What sets me apart is my professionalism, enthusiasm, and passion to learn and grow into a well-rounded individual. Friends, current co-workers, and professors would describe me as being a dedicated, enthusiastic, passionate, creative, active, and highly reliable individual. I have multiple skills in; illustrations, advertisement experience, team collaboration, layout design, technical writing skills, marketing, and experiences with clients which will assist in individual or team collaboration during projects. I recognize the importance of teamwork, innovative ideas, and going through the design process to come up with the best possible solution.

Bachelor of Communications Information Design

Information designers are experts at finding the most effective words, images, and media to target a specific audience. Information Designer's use our innovation in design to creating attractiveness and readability or print and digital media. We use our information architect skills to take complex information and made it simple for users. In addition, to using our writing and analytical skills to transform unstructured ideas into concrete, meaningful information. Our main goal is to create and design clear, concise and visually attractive materials that will enhance how people read, understand, and use information through effective methods of communication.

Information Designers like myself, have been given the opportunity through Mount Royal University to contribute our knowledge and skills toward developing sustainable solutions for community organizations. Where we apply our education to complex issues through Community Service Learning projects. This approach to learning deepens our awareness of pressing issues, giving us the opportunity to earn academic credit, experience working with real-life clients while benefiting a community partner.
